| Announcements If anyone has large tofu containers please bring them in for Tena and Renee to reuse. If you are so inclined you may decorate or wrap with foil to make them pretty. You may see your artwork in the near future. Parenting Seminar will be held on Friday, February 3, 7:00pm-7:45pm @ WOCC to teach basic parenting skills. This FREE educational session will be taught by Dr.Theresa Wee (Pediatrician) and is open to the public as a way we can give back to our community and to introduce our Church to our neighbors. Optional 4 week Small Group follow-up classes will be offered at the seminar. Attendance is limited to 20 attendees, so please place your reservations with Donna Kranz quickly. Donna may be reached at 683-4439 or dkranz@ymcahonolulu.org. Small Groups will start the week of February 5. This promises to be a rewarding study. All groups will use the material, R12. What's that!? Check out the display board then ask about R12 and small group. If you have not attended before c'mon there is a group of people waiting just for YOU! If a ride is what you need, talk to us we can provide or arrange. Can't wait to see YOU there. Mark your calendars-- Our Spring Banquet will be held at the Honolulu Country Club on Sunday, March 4. | Reminders Please pick up your copy of the 2011 church directory which is on the resource table. Also available are extra copies of our latest Koinonia. If you are not on our mailing list, please let us know. The latest issue of Our Daily Bread (Sept.-Nov.) is available on the resource table. Flowers are needed to help beautify the sanctuary. Please consider donating flowers either from your yard or purchased to enhance the worship service. A sign-up sheet is posted on the hallway bulletin board. Copies of our latest issue of the Koinonia are on the resource table. If you would like to be added to our mailing list please see the ushers or Nancy Shimokawa. We now have a Nursery Cry Room in which parents of young children can view the service without having to feel self conscious. It is located next to the library/office. The Family Worship Area in the Sanctuary is still available for parents of small children. Church Cleaning Plan: Thanks so much to all who have been helping to clean. The facility is looking better! Just to clarify, there are new and separate sign-up sheets for each month. Mahalo! Calling all handymen (and women). God needs you at WOCC! We are developing a team of people with abilities in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, mechanics, glass, metals, gardening, painting ... just about anything. This team will be called upon to help keep our facilities in good working order and to do upgrades now and then. If God has blessed you with these types of skills and you would like to help out, please see Pastor Stan so that your name can be added to the list. Prayer Requests Please continue to keep Rev. Nakamura, Charlie Nako & Sharon Horita in your prayers as they continue to heal and recover from their surgeries. Please pray for healing and encouragement for them and their family. Your love and support is greatly needed at this time. |
