| History: |
Founded
in 1974 and incorporated in 1976 as the Pearl City Highlands Holiness
Church by a group from our
sister church, Honolulu Christian Church.
We began by meeting in homes, but eventually settled into the
cafeteria at Peal City Highlands Elementary School. In
1991 we purchased the property at our
current location
in Waipahu, subsequently relocated to it, and changed our name to West
Oahu Christian Church. On July 11, 1992 we held our building
dedication, as many members from our sister churches in California were
on the island for the annual General Conference, hosted by our
church. |
